We’re also hoping to have a special presentation from Kinghorn Scouts on their experiences of cutting their carbon footprint at home to earn their Global Conservation Badge. FREE Renewables & Energy at Home Workshops

Solar Renewable Energy – Sat 19th June 10.00am-3.00pm; Earthship Fife Visitors Centre, Kinghorn

If you want to know how to make your own free energy from the Scottish sun then this workshop is not to be missed! Info on grants and practical techniques using demonstrations from the Earthship’s own renewable installations will be given by facilitator Hugh Piggott.   • Buy Local Christmas Fayre

    FREE ADMISSION & ACTIVITIES, Saturday 12th December 1pm – 4pm St Serf’s Hall, Manse Lane, BurntislandThe mix of local shop displays, festive activities, music & handmade goodies from local community groups all contributed to a very successful day! We estimated that turnout exceeded over 120 people, many of whom commented on the relaxed and festive atmosphere.

Included:  Magical Storytelling  & Harp Music, information on the benefits of buying local, Christmas recipes  by Fife Diet,  Local shop displays Free samples,  Christmas goodies by local community groups, refreshments    provided by Fife Diet,  a chance to win a Homemade Fair Trade Christmas Cake, festive decoration making for children & adults using waste.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took part in the Buy Local Christmas Fayre!

    Thanks to everyone who made the Local Food Tasting evening at the end of September – it was a fantastic success with 40 people attending and everyone feeling well-fed (and slightly tipsy!) by the end.
